I want to take a Texas defensive driving online class. Do you offer both the internet and DVD format of the defensive driving class?
Prices may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving courses.  The cost may be slightly more if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the defensive driving class, the price is the lowest possible cost under State law, and this includes the mailing of your Texas certificate of completion that will be sent via regular US mail.
I took a traditional defensive driving classroom program several years ago, and I am not as up-to-date with the online defensive driving programs. How does the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program work?
Basically, there are two (2) types of online defensive driving classes that are available.  One is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You are permitted to enroll in the online defensive driving class on any computer with internet access, and you are allowed to start and stop as often as you'd like, and pick up from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will have to take a short, multiple-choice quiz which will assist you in preparing for the final exam. Once you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give to you a completion certificate which will be sent to you via the shipping method that you choose at the time of registration.
Is it possible to receive any auto insurance premium reduction if I sign up for GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving online class?
It is feasible.  Although we do recommend that you check with your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class.  It is important to know that many insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving course.   Also, customers who pass our internet defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion--one to present to the court and one to give to his or her auto insurance agent.
Do I need to use the same computer every time that I log in to the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet program?
No, you can complete the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving program from any computer with online access.  You can use multiple computers if you have to do so, but you will need to be certain that each computer is equipped with the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a brief scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to make sure that it has the necessary software installed.

I recently picked up a traffic violation. Do I qualify to complete GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving course if I have not completed an online defensive driving program in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you finished an internet defensive driving class, then you are eligible.  Texas State Law restricts you from removing more than one (1) traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are unsure as to when you last satisfactorily took the online defensive driving course, we recommend that you consult with the traffic court to find out if you qualify to finish GetDefensive.com's  defensive driving online course.
Do the quizzes count against my final score in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class?
No.  There is a brief quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course.  The quizzes do not go against your final course grade.  They are meant to assist in preparing you for the final exam.
I am required to take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course to keep a traffic citation off of my Texas driver record, but how do I know if my local court accepts it?
